This application has one role, and that is to backup the D:/ drive to another drive. Whenever the computer is in a home network, or trusted network, it will look for the backup drive on the network. If it finds the network drive, or if the drive plugs into the computer, the backup will commence. This will assure that the personal files of the computer is always available with another location.
When starting backup, the program will ask which drive to backup to. If you hadn’t mapped the drive to the computer, you would be prompted to do that. On a drive connected to the computer, the Map will start with F:/ and work its way up. On a network drive, it will start with Z:/ and work its way down. Once done, it will make sure that D:/ is your personal files drive, and the backup will then back the files to the mapped drive. If this computer is a notebook PC, then you should consider a NAS? drive for backing up. If the computer is a desktop, then any plugged in drive, or network drive will work.
Once backup starts, it will copy all of the files from the D:/ drive to the mapped drive. If you are not connected to the appropriate network, there will be no backups unless you tell backup to do the backup to a particular drive on the network. This will only apply to trusted networks. Public Networks will not backup no matter what. All backup drives should be at least twice the capacity of the drive its backing up. If your personal drive is 512GB?, then you should have a backup drive of at least 1TB?. Backup is available on computer, and handheld.
